This bundle includes both complete 24/25 and 14/20 Universal Inlet Adapters. These inlet adapters are made entirely of PVDF (Arkema Kynar®). Each adapter is supplied with a PVDF threaded compression nut and #108 Viton o-ring for inlet sealing. This is everything needed to properly seal a thermometer/probe/overhead stirrer with an O.D. of 6.0-7.5 mm into the adapter and place them into any 24/40, 24/29, or 14/20 ground glass joint. These universal adapters seal properly when placed into any 24/(29-40) or 14/20 ground glass joint.
These inlet adapters provide a great alternative to the PTFE inlet adapters sold by other companies, which can cost upward of $85 for a single inlet adapter. PVDF is the lesser known cousin of PTFE and offers the same chemically inert properties. These adapters hold up to the harshest of conditions conceivable; PVDF exhibits pristine chemical resistance, nuclear radiation resistance, UV radiation resistance, high heat resistance, and microbial and fungal growth resistance.
